CAZ Construction can repair, replace or install new siding for your home. We commonly work with Hardie board, cedar and T1-11 plywood siding.
- Hardie board: Fiber cement siding that’s durable and designed to hold up against water, fire and insects. It looks like wood, and must be repainted periodically. Hardie board siding generally comes with a 30-year warranty.
- Cedar: Beautiful and natural siding that holds up better against rot and insects than most types of wood. It should be inspected periodically for moisture and termites and performs best when protected with a finish. Cedar siding can last as long as 25 years or more with proper maintenance.
- T1-11: This type of siding is available as OSB or plywood. We install the plywood option, which is more durable and can be painted or stained. It can last 20 years or more with proper maintenance.
If you have siding that’s becoming worn, we’ll evaluate it and advise on whether issues like rot, cracking and weather damage can be repaired. New siding can be installed with exterior insulation and rainscreens between the siding and wood to provide extra energy efficiency and durability. We can also update or add design and weatherization features like window trim, soffits, cedar shake and cornerboards.
